There are a number of ways in which you can as an individual,
or as a group, become involved in the work of the Partnership.
Give feedback on the proposed restructing of Yorkshire's police forces.
To help us to make the Borough safer :
Always report crime – if you are a victim of crime or witness
an incident, please inform the police;
Don’t turn a blind eye – always report suspicious incidents;
Become involved in your local community – join your local
Neighbourhood Watch or Country Watch group. If you don’t know
if a group exists in your area or would like to start one up, then
contact us and we can help you;
If you have any innovative ideas for community projects aimed at
reducing crime in your area – then tell us. The Partnership
may be able to assist with funding and advice.
Remove the temptation for crime – remember to keep your belongings
secure and your property locked. Also, mark your property with a UV pen to assist the police in returning it to you should it be stolen and recovered.
Follow the general crime prevention rules (external website)
Know where to get support - if you or a friend, neighbour or family
member needs support there are a number of agencies that can help,
for example Victim Support, Women’s Aid. If in doubt, contact
us!
